    Will a new CPU be automatically used by SQL service?

    Hello

    I would like to know if a I add a new processor to my server the SQL service running there would automatically utilize it or it depends of the licensing model used.

    It depends of licensing model. If you use per seat, then there is no problem. What SQL version do you have?

    Is SQL Server 2005 Standard. The licencing model is per processor, but I wonder is nonetheless technically it would use a new processor added.
