Multi server Administration -Maintenance plan job configuration

Hi, I have a master SQL2005 server and i have added target servers to my master server. The problem is this.I configured backup jobs(in form of maintenance plans) in the Target server for the databases. In the Master server I created new backup job calling on the SSIS package from the target servers maintenance plan and also specified the target machine in the traget step. I removed the regularly good running backup job in the target machine as i dont want 2 backups to be retained in my drive and my purpose is to monitor the job centrally. When i ran the configured job it says remote run has been posetd sucessfully or something and gives me a success status. I deleted the job in the target server as i didn want 2 jobs to be created in the drive. Now the problem is though my master server job turned to say it was sucessful i am not able to find the backup file in my drive specified. Please let me know where is the mistake was my removal of the configured job in the target machine the reason, i made changes in the registry settings to add my target server to the amster server setting the SQL agent value from 2 to 0. Is there an sp_sqlmaint option that can be handy here, if so please tell me on how to proeed please.... Awaiting all ur suggestions :( cheers, Eben

Its the same SP3 ..however i found an alternate method of getting the Maintenence plan Id and configured a job in the amster server by calling the maintenance plan in the target server and it worked out.

     Thanks a lot satya...
