about sql server cluster passive node

i have a question regarding to sql clustered servers. we have sql server 2005 clustered servers setup, one active and the other passive. my question is: can i create another instance on the passive node as test environment instead of it standing there doing nothing?

    Thank You!!!

    I don't see any issue.

If the whole cluster setup is in a testing envirnoment, licensing is not an issue.  If not, you may need to think about that.   A passive node not doing anything doesn't require SQL license.
