    Weird Semaphore Error - HELP!

    Hi Guys,

We've been randomly receiving the following error message about 5 times a day:

Callback A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server. (provider: TCP Provider error: 0 - The semaphore timeout period has expired.)<br/> at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError(SqlException exception Boolean breakConnection) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.ThrowExceptionAndWarning(TdsParserStateObject stateObj) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.InternalEndExecuteReader(IAsyncResult asyncResult String endMethod) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.EndExecuteReader(IAsyncResult asyncResult)

I've done some online searches, but nobody has any information on the error.  Is this a network problem, hardware problem, or something wrong with the SQL Server itself?

I would greatly appreciate any information on this weird error.

    Thanks!

Re: Weird Semaphore Error - HELP!

This seems like a network issue.
