This book is no easy read. However even though it is not an easy read it is recommended for everyone who professionally deals with databases. The book offers a thorough introduction into the basic mathematics on which the relational database model is based. The book provides the committed reader information to base their database designs on, as well as details on how to effectively describe and communicate design questions and business rules.

In any case the reader should take the time to work through the whole book. It is well worth it!
