I have worked with SQL Server since 1999. I started with working version 6.5 and converted to SQL Server 7.0 after about six months. I am an avid reader that enjoys technical books on T-SQL and other programming languages, SQL Server database administration (particularly performanace tuning & optimization (PTO)), as well as books on religion, politics, and business. I currently work as consultant for a global IT consultancy. The focus of my career thus far has been in the financial industry although I have consulted with local governments, a small ISP, non-profit organizations and an international manufacturing company. As a senior sql server dba, I have trained and mentored a number of less experienced dba's and many sql developers.
