Did you try to connect to this instance from another machine? I suspect tools are corrupted on the laptop where you are getting the problem.
Is this anyway related to SQL Server? As i see AD, SVN & TFS but nothing in specific to handle TSQL.
Its a complext way to supporting the multiple queries, using SSMS you can do to some extent but nothig is free when you need something critical :-)....
