    HI all ,
Have recently upgraded the Database to 2005 from 2000, did all the things to fix the issue but still having performance issues.
1- Migrated the database to 2005 . some tables were migrated via SSIS and the rest were replicated from the master server via transaction replication
2- We have SQL Server 2005 with SP2 and latest hot fix installed on Server
    (server configuration: (Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 3.00GHZ, 8.00GB of RAM)

    3. Updated usage/statistics of migrated database
    4. Re-buillt indexes.
5- execution plan shows all the overhead areas using cluster index seek
but the same query running in half the time on my laptop. on the new 64 bit processor server it is running like a dog any suggestion wha else i can check to fix the performance issues

May be you have to optimize all again. Just a thought.

There is an issue with 64 bit execution plans or something. Saw it this week as a matter of fact. Think it is addressed in update no 8 for service pack 2, about the middle of the list of items addressed. Sorry can't be of more help. We also have 64bit servers and running into slow performance. Unfortunately, this bug was not the cause of our problems.
