SQL Server Performance

About SQL 2000 to catch an Error Msg

    I use SQL 2000 Query to doing some script for searching data.<br /><br />what i try to do is...<br /><br />I got a loop for a connection to others SQL server, but the loop that i write got some problem. The problem is when i try to pass by any of the SQL Server which was not been started (SQL Server not on), the loop was error and stop.<br /><br />I wanted the loop can be continue and can pass by the error of (Error 7399).[<img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-4.gif' alt=':p' />]<br /><br />please help me, thanks~ [<img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-1.gif' alt=':)' />]

    where to find this 'RAISERROR in BOL '?

    i using SQL 2000. not SQL 2005.

    the RAISERROR can use like

    if RAISERROR = 7399
    .
    .
    .
    .
    end
    else
    .
    .
    .
    .
    end

    ?
