there's a beta version of a new 3rd-party product that can do this, you can have a look at it here http://www.remote-keys.com
The website isn't terribly informative in that respect. Do you know who is behind this product? -- Frank Kalis Moderator Microsoft SQL Server MVP Webmaster:http://www.insidesql.de
No, I don't know who's behind it. I found the link by chance on the MS newsgroups & thought the original poster might find it useful.
Anybody tried this? and how does it work? The only way I can think of is instead of triggers. Roji. P. Thomas http://toponewithties.blogspot.com
I suspect it uses triggers, the FAQ on the website is a bit evasive in the "how does it work?" question.
I had same requirment I used triggers for that ---------------------------------------- Contributing Editor, Writer & Forums Moderator http://www.SQL-Server-Performance.Com Visit my Blog at http://dineshasanka.spaces.live.com/
