   We have a 3-tier application on a Active/Active/Passive cluster connected to a SAN that is having a alot of performance problems. The application has always performed bad to start out with. Where should we start to look or what steps should we follow to identify where the bottlenecks are? Are there any rule-of-thumbs to go by? Thanks

   Have you checked the hardware performance in this case?
   I suggest to check on hardware side and then on application performance using KBAhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/224587 &http://support.microsoft.com/kb/835864 reference.
