I'm trying to link our Active Directory to SQL 2000. Read lots of procedures from microsoft site, but to no avail, I still cannot link it to SQL [V]

How come I have this error?

An error occurred while preparing a query for execution against OLE DB provider 'ADSDSOObject'.
OLE DB error trace [OLE/DB Provider 'ADSDSOObject' ICommandPrepare:repare returned 0x80040e14].

I did already all the following:

-From EM under the properties of the linked ADSI server click the security tab and select impersonate user and enter a domainusername and password.
-be made using the security context (domain username and domain password)

When I used the Domain Administrator Account, I got this error message:

OLE DB provider 'ADSDSOObject' reported an error. The provider indicates that the user did not have the permission to perform the operation.
OLE DB error trace [OLE/DB Provider 'ADSDSOObject' ICommandPrepare:repare returned 0x80040e09: The provider indicates that the user did not have the permission to perform the operation.].
