Brad Is there any facility to set life for a thread, say after certain period of time that thread will be deleted from forums. If not can you place any similar setup. The reason for this is, now a days we can see few posts posting about advertising Third party tools to use with SQL Server and few of them transfered to Forum Announcements, as I felt. But still I believe that forum is not appropriate for the third party tools. Any chance of creating another section for Third party tools information and set expiry date for the posts (say delete within one week). Suggestions are welcome from fellow peers. Thanks. Agree. I suggest 1 month instead 1 week. Luis Martin Moderator SQL-Server-Performance.com All postings are provided “AS IS†with no warranties for accuracy.
There is no way to do this automatically. They can only be deleted manually. I am not really too worried about this, as there are not too many of these types of postings. ---------------------------- Brad M. McGehee, MVP Webmaster SQL-Server-Performance.Com
Thanks Brad In that case I will perform moving them to Forum Announcement, and you may need to consider in future if we are flooded with this type of posts.
