Hi, I have installed a new SQL 2005 EE cluster without Analysis services. Not having installed Analysis services in the past in a cluster environment, do I need seperate resources in terms of drives/volumes for the installation which cannot be shared with the data and log volumes?? My cluster is active/active. Appreciate any help at the earliest possible. Thanks!!
The install for Analysis Services 2005 is "cluster aware" so it will set itself up as a cluster resource and I think this is what you would want anyway as then SSAS could failover with other resources. On the resource you should be able to set it up with a dependancy or as part of a group so that it will move with a specific SQL instance in case of a failover.
