Announcing - SQL Server Data Services at MIX08
At Mix08, Ray Ozzie announced SQL Server Data Services (SSDS), previously codenamed “Sitka”. SSDS is a web-facing, storage and data processing service exposed over HTTP (via REST or SOAP). Built on top of the SQL platform, SSDS is a highly scalable, pay-as-you-grow cloud-based data storage service.
    FYI:
If you are attending MIX08, Nigel Ellis will be delivering a session on SSDS on Thursday at 8:30am in the Delfino 4005 Room. Session recording as well as slides will be available within 24 hours at http://sessions.visitmix.com.

A limited public beta will begin. Customers interested in participating in the limited beta should be directed to sign up at: http://www.microsoft.com/sql/dataservices
