Any Non-Heinous Way to Rename a SQL Cluster...?

Have a major move of a production server cluster hosting about 74 DB's this weekend. It is on a EMC Clariion SAN and the clusters obviously have a different name. Have a quick-n-dirty method to move by simply copying the Master and MSDB, keeping the drives the same and just switching the SAN connections. But, this happy method won't work on a cluster. <br /><br />All the developers[<img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-6.gif' alt='' />!] are howling about having to change all their hard-coded connections to the name of the new cluster. could you have an alias in DNS from the old name to the new name?
