Application Server to Point to Mirror Server

    Hi All,

I have tested mirroring for a few days. The app server is using a connection string in the registry to point to SQL server. When failover happens, how can I tell the app server to failover and run against the mirrored server and mirrored database?

    Please advice. Thanks.

There are many ways to write the connection string, but here is one example, specifying server A as the principal, server B as the mirror, and AdventureWorks as the database name:

    "Data Source=A;Failover Partner=B;Initial Catalog=AdventureWorks;Integrated Security=True;"
