Hi Fauzan,
Is it OK....? If i backup the database while users connecting to it
My Answer to your question is "It depends" It depends on the type of backup (and the disk activity you expect through the backup process), the number of users connected and their activity.I believe you may have concerns over two areas:
1. Performance of the application
2. Data consistency.
On the first issue, you need to worry much. As backup process generates a lot of disk activity, users might experience timeout errors and slowness of the application. It is better to find a low usage period to backup the database. This is where partial backups and file group/file backups in addition to differential and log backups might help you.On the second issue, you don’t have to worry much. SQL Server takes care of it.
Hope this helps.
