Bad experience installing on the same PC as 2005

    guys,<br /><br />i had a very bad experience installaing SQl 2008 on Sql 2005 running machine. The Managemant studio is not upgraged to the correct one.... <br />i know i know never install SQL 2008 on Sql 2005.... was just trying to see what errors pops on.[}<img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-1.gif' alt=':)' />]<br /><br /><br /><br />AKTHAR

    the dll's get mixed up.

    MS did a very "good" job on dll's in management studio...
    changing the contents and not changing the version or build number etc...

    not the way to do it...

    Causing trouble since 1980

    Hey this is repeated question, if you haven't seen Dinesh's post here: better to install SQL 2008 on virtual server instance.
