Hi,
I'm interested in working in this arena and was wondering if there are good books/articles for beginners??
I'm inclining towards building a data mart with BI interface.

Lot of options availble for you in fact web resources on Microsoft site and as well as forums/tips/blogs etc. BI means not only analysis services it tends to be for SSIS & SSRS too refer to http://msmvps.com/blogs/ssqa/archive/tags/tutorial/default.aspx for tutorials in thsi case and don't forget to upgrade your local Books online for SQL 2005 with latest update - http://sqlserver-qa.net/blogs/tools...able-for-download-update-your-local-copy.aspx

Hi,
I would definitely encourage you to buy Dr Ralph Kimball's books on dimensional modelling, as well as his Toolkit books. One of the most important aspects of a datawarehouse is the modelling of the data, and when you come from a relational background it is quite a change in mindset.
