    Hi there,

I have reports which are working from the development work station, after deployment when i try to run them from report server, they work great. But when i try to run the reports after deployment from my machine, they fail with "Cannot create a connection to data source" error. :(
One of the report is working though, i checked the settings, exactly same no difference what so ever.

What exactly can i be missing?

There are couple of things you can check:
Can you ping to the database server from report server?
Are you in the same domain?
Did you specified a fully qualified name?
Are you using server name? If so try with IP address
For me it looks like, mainly a network related issue rather than SQL Server related issue.

Make sure that your database server provides right to access it from remote server. First check the connection locally. Also reset the database username - password and reflect it in yoru connection string.
