Hi,

there should be some more inforamtion about the error. Looks like the master database became corrupted. Before searching for the basic error (which is often relataed to physical problems) I would suggest you to backup the database on the server (if not done yet). This is just for the case that you have a physical failure on your harddrives. Afterwards I would try to restore a valid recent master database backup and see if the database is running again. Make sure to scan your harddrives ASAP for physical failures !

yep its a problem with the master db. unfortunately i havt got a backup of the master db for this server as it is a dev server. I guess i will have to re-install and restore the data
