change in the support lifecycle for SQL Server 7.0

    Microsoft is pleased to announce a change in the support lifecycle for SQL Server 7.0

    SQL Server 7.0 assisted support was scheduled to end on March 31, 2006. However, based on feedback from our customers, Microsoft has made a decision to continue SQL Server 7.0 assisted support through December 31, 2007. With this announcement, SQL Server 7.0 will now end its Mainstream support phase on 12/31/05 and its extended support phase on 12/31/07.
