I have a SQL job imports a flat file everynight. I copy the entire file into a table, then transform 5 columns to int's for the purpose of searching.

I have just started to get a error on one column, is there a way to remove/update all non int values before I do my transformation?

Is there a non int data type that I can search on and order by?

If you know about ActiveX script then you can achieve the same, to write in VBscript.
