4. Merry Christmas to all my SQL Server professionals!!

And on this time of year, let's look back and remember...without access to tabular information, NO system would yield worthwhile info, nobody would be able to do any worthwhile work, and...

the world would be stuck.

It is WE, the often unsung heros that keep the world turning, it is OUR hard work in clustering that keep the bargains up on Ebay, in Replication that keep the salesforces informed of new developments (and in jobs), and OUR hard work in DR/Performance Tuning that allows the emergency services to respond rapidly and to save LIVES.

We toil in obscurity sometimes, in glory in others, but remember; we are an elite. We have worked hard to be what and where we are, and the job of the DBA is a noble one.

Let's all raise our glasses...to US.

Cheers!!

Jaybee.

France.

The finest wines.

The tastiest cuisine.

The most delicious women.
