    Hi Everyone,
    Sql server is 2005 standard edition with sp2 and win2003 with sp2.
    Note: We installed DST patches before a restart of sql server. Though there is about 45 mins of diff between the patch installaton and sql server restart.
    For some reason suddeny Sqlserver restarted . Found following errors in event logs and cluster logs.
    error: [sqsrvres] CheckQueryProcessorAlive: sqlexecdirect
    failed
    error: [sqsrvres] OnlineThread: QP is not online.
    error: [sqsrvres] printODBCError: sqlstate = HYT00;
    native error = 0; message = [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server
    Driver]Timeout expired
    [sqsrvres] printODBCError: sqlstate = 08S01; native error = 0; message = [Microsoft][SQL Native Client]Communication link failure
    [sqagtres] SvcStop: service did not stop; giving up.
    [sqsrvres] OnlineThread: asked to terminate while waiting for QP.
    We had a sql server agent restart some time back again for no real understandable reason.
    We trying to find the root cause for it. Any help is appericiated.
    Thanks,

    Look at SQL Server error log, Cluster log and event viewer during these timings to see why the service has been stopped.
    Is this faced to internet or have you run any anti-virus to check if this is a SQL injection?
