Hi, Need your help.I am trying to move resources from node1 to node2 in active/passive clustering. I am getting below Event Type: Error Event Source: MSSQL$NODECLUST1 Event Category: (2) Event ID: 17058 Date: 6/29/2009 Time: 6:10:14 PM User: N/A Computer: SQLCLUST Description: initerrlog: Could not open error log file 'H:Microsoft SQL ServerMSSQL.1MSSQLLOGERRORLOG'. Operating system error = 3(The system cannot find the path specified.). Also SQL service on node2 is not starting and it’s failback to node1. I have tested by taking SQL server service,agent and full text service offline and moving other resource i.e. disk , sql ip address and name to node2 is happening without any issue. Please let me know your inputs
It looks like the other node is not able to access the path H:... when you RDP into the other node try browsing to this path if you can access the ERRORLOG file.
Hi, Thanks for your reply. H: drive is moving to other node2. On node 2, I can browse H: drive but I can't see SQL Server folders.it's empty. Look like some strange error . note that I have created clustering on VMware.
