    No question is Stupid..

    You can use the tool called SQLDIAG (sqldiag.exe) which will be in (DRIVE:program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQLBinn)

    Once run this tool, this will create a log in the LOG folder.

    This will detailed information about whole config about the server and more details like, logs etc..

    True, valid answer by John.
    You don't have any downtrend in using this tool as many times MS PSS will ask to run for the configuraiton.

    As John said we all learn from asking simple questions, without a question there is no answer.

    Just in case you are using SQL Server 2000 with SP 4. You'll receive a "Buffer overrun" error message. This is a known and already reported bug. There is a workaround in that you replace the sqldiag.exe file with the one on your installation CD. That seems to work.

    Thanks Frank,<br /><br />I was not aware of this bug, now I tried and I got error in my server where I have applied SP4, and I got this error, and tried with the older copy of SQLDIAG (sqldiag.exe) with your solution..
