    Hi,

I am researching on the possibility of creating and using a configuration file to be used to set up global variables setting up environmental values and other initialization variables needed to configure in data loading a DTS package.

The intension is to automate the manual configuration using a simple configuration file so that the DTS package can be pointed to use the configuration file to initialize needed variables depending on the environment to be data loaded. Thus same configuration file can be used in data loading to different tracks/ environments without being having to manually set the global variables.

I would very much appreciate and directions, advise or resource information which can be given on this.

    Thanks!
