data mining..where to start?

    hello people.. hope ur doing gud...
    well i ve started a project.. in which i ve to build an online music store.. and use the transaction data of the customers to identify their interest patterns.....and analyze the listening trend of the audience belonging to different demographics...
    well i need some guidance that how to implement data mining algos n carry out these tasks... if any1 of u can help me with it.. i ll be pleased...
