I have read that there should not be more that 10 databases in a single instance that are mirrored. Is this a real limitation. If so it criples the database mirroring capibility in my mind. Please give feedback. Thanks, Scott
I don't think there is any limitation like this from MS... but it depends on your HW... http://download.microsoft.com/downl...1f6d2d220/ProSQLServer2005_Ch15_ForTechEd.pdf http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sql/2005/dbmirror.mspx MohammedU. THe best practices is to limit upto 10 databsae in the database mirroring session, as explained it always depends on the configuration of the server. See my presentationhttp://sqlserver-qa.net/blogs/bc/ar...rroring-by-ssqa-in-sql-server-open-world.aspx in this regard about using the DBM effectively.
