Database mirroring transaction log management

Hi,
I want to know if the mirroring session on the principal truncates log records after those logs have been committed on the mirror.
Being the case will save me from caring about the log growth on the principal database.

yes, it will truncate the the log when the transactions sent to mirroring database but you have to run the tlog backup also....
