Database Perfomance

    Dear All,
    If I take the backup of the database and i delete the database and restore it again. If I do this then *.LDF file will remove. And hope database have little fast. Can anybody tell me this is safe or not?

    Restoring the database will not improve performance.

    As suggested you are risking the data loss, rather look at the measures to fine tune the performance and identify where it is lacking.
    If the transaction log is bulging up due to the processes & queries then think about performing regular backups for log.
