I use bidirectional transactional replication in SS2000 SP4. I just upgraded my test environment from SS2000 to SS2008. In SS2000 Enterprise Management, the distribution agent GUI control was in the replication monitor group. I can't find the distribution agent control in SS2008 Management Studio. How do I start and start the distributor in SS2008?
    Thank You

I have not used sql 2008 replication yet... but if you don't see the agent, I believe you can stop the corresponding job to stop and start the distribution agent.

    Wecome to the forums
In this case referring to Books Online helps you to find where exactly your requirement exists, REPLICATION MONITOR is required here and see what BOL refers:
    </ xmlns="http://ddue.schemas.microsoft.com/authoring/2003/5" 2003 authoring ddue.schemas.microsoft.com 5:content>To start Replication Monitor from SQL Server Management Studio</ 2003 authoring ddue.schemas.microsoft.com 5:content>/ddue.schemas.microsoft.com/authoring/2003/5 NS = "http://ddue.schemas.microsoft.com/authoring/2003/5" />
    1. Connect to an instance of SQL Server in SQL Server Management Studio, and then expand the server node.
      • Right-click the Replication folder or any of its subfolders, and then click Launch Replication Monitor.
