Distribution jobs for two publication

Hi , I have two publication of two different database and they are replicating data to other server but both are sending data to same database with transactional replication , now my question is ,can i have two different distribution jobs for these two publications , currently we have one job only since subscriber database is same for both the publication databases ?
below is the detail for our setup
publisher -SQL 2000
distributor-SQL 2005
subscriber-SQL 2000
