Distributor -- Database

    hi all, we are in the process of moving distribution database to a different server.is this really possible. or we have to disable replicaiton and recofingure
    new server as the distributor.

    I think you will have to remove replication and re-set it up.

    Yes in SQL 2000 and 2005 you can directly to that with detach/attach.
