As i ran some DMV scripts to get server scope - Disk related IO information. I got the cumulative output like IO in MB and IO in Sec (The data in dmv’s would be result of data that is collected by sql server engine from the last restart).
    1. is it possible to get DMV results based on date/time specific.if yes how do we do that.
sys.dm_io_virtual_file_stats - IO statistics for databases and log files
2: is there any best performance benchmark values defined by industry for DMV results.

    Welcome to the forums....
I don't think it's possible using this DMV...
You can do a workarouna as create a work table with same schema as the output
i.e. database_id, file_id.... and one extra column as create_date as datetime null
and write a job to insert this out put into that table and after insert update the create_date file to getdate where it's null
And then you can compare the records.
I'm not 100% sure but this should work...
