hi doeshttp://www.wrox.com/WileyCDA/WroxTitle/productCd-0764584332.html =http://www.wrox.com/WileyCDA/WroxTitle/productCd-076457955X.html ?? and it is not !! what is the difference ?? and which one of these you advice me to read for beginner ?? thank you
soley from looking the table of contents, Viera's books covers the broader subject of what is a database, etc while the Turley Wood book focuses on T-SQL, which the SQL plus Sybase/Microsoft extensions if you are new to databases or have DBA responsibilities, start with Viera's book if you are reasonanly familar with database or are more focus of SQL app dev, go with the Wood/Turley book or start with Viera, then go the Wood Turley book
thank you for answer me but...i think ,, i prefer to chose books published by Microsoft press so can advice me for book for Beginning SQL Server 2005 Programming published by Microsoft press !! thank you

I personally dont like MS books. They dont provide real-world examples, but only the "MS Way"... which is not always the best way. Try the Wrox book.<img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-1.gif' alt='' /><br /><br />Michael B<br />Sr. DBA<br /><br />"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,<br />but fools despise wisdom and instruction." True and Wrox books are far better than MS Press ones (in my Experience). Satya SKJ Microsoft SQL Server MVP Contributing Editor & Forums Moderator http://www.SQL-Server-Performance.Com This posting is provided AS IS with no rights for the sake of knowledge sharing.
