error when connecting to analysis services

when trying to register in analysis manager i get the following error

Erros occured while connecting to XYZ
Cannot Connect to the repository.

Analysis server: XYZ

Error:
Could not user ''; file already in use.
Do you still want to register this server.



any idea?

The connection string could be wrong, on the server right click on the node and select edit repository see if it is the right connection string. This error usually happens when you migrate to a different server.
