SQL Server Performance

error when trying to open configuration manager

    i get the following error when tring to open configuration manager: 'cannot connect to wmi provider you do not have permission or the server is unreachable notice you can only manage sql services with sql server configuration manager access denied [0x80041003]' - this is on a cluster server and I'm trying to open it on the active node.

    ok - i found out that wmi needs reinstalling - let me know if u have similar problem or just want to know resolution and i'll post it when resolved... :):)

    What is the level of service pack on this SQL Server instance?
    Its a major problem having the WMI provder getting corrupted.
