Event ID: 54 & Source: Tcpip

The error message is: No network provider accepted the given network path<BR><BR>DNS and WINS have been set in TCP/IP Properties of the server.<BR><BR>In this situation there is no way unless restating the server.<IMG title=Sad src="http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Skins/Classic/Images/EmotIcons/Sad.gif" align=absMiddle border=0><BR><BR>Any idea will be greatly appreciated.<BR><BR>Sani.</SPAN> <FONT size=1><BR><BR></FONT></P>

This server is a part of domain or workgroup???
How you are connecting to this server using name or IP address??

The server is a member of workgroup. I connect to server using Server name and IP Address.

Whenever this happens are you able to ping this server. and I hope the workgroup and domain servers are in the same lan.
