SQL Server Performance

EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION

    For SQL2000 cluster, can there be a sitauation where error "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" is generated if server is running low on licenses? The server is configured on "Per seat" basis.

    WHen and where this error occurs?
    check SQL server error log for more information and also refer to any dump it might have created.
    BTW what is the level of service pack on SQL & OS?

    In the SQL errot its SQLDumpExcpetion Handler...AV and nothing more.

    It is on WIN2k ADV SP3 and SQL2000 SP2

    Update to SP3a on SQL server as few fixes are intended to fix in latest SPs.
