Jenny and Carol are John#%92s aunts. John#%92s house is in the middle of aunts houses. Jenny ----------John----------Carol The red bus runs each 10 minutes from John house to Carol house. The blue bus runs each 10 minutes from John house to Jenny house. Both buses runs in different times. To be fare with hers, John decided to live his house at random time and take the first bus. After 2 week one of the aunts complains to John, because he visits more frequently to the other aunt. Why? The aunts talk on the phone, and go one-up over the other when discussing the number of visits from John. It's human nature.[<img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-2.gif' alt='' />]

John needs to move far enough away so that he is not obligated to visit unless one aunts bakes cookies from scratch

if the schedule is something like A B 10:00 10:05 10:10 10:15 10:20 10:25 then if John goes at random times, then he has equal opport to catch each bus if however the schedule were A B 10:00 10:03 10:10 10:13 10:20 10:23 then he is more likely to catch bus A, (7:3)
If the buses are going in both directions and with the same 7 minute interval, then things start to become interesting, I guess. But I'm sticking to my original line - human nature and telephones.
Joe: You have an "A". In Spanish a 10!!!! Well done. The only way to be fair is with 5 minutes. Other combination one aunt is more visist. Luis Martin Moderator SQL-Server-Performance.com All in Love is Fair Stevie Wonder All postings are provided “AS IS†with no warranties for accuracy.
