    We are currently seeking an individual to fill the following position in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest (Renton, Washington):

    THIS IS A TRUE SQL SERVER DBA position WITH DEPTH (Programming experience not required)

    JOB DUTIES: Perform database, design, modification, development, security, backup, tuning, and maintenance activities in support of computing systems. Analyze and resolve application performance issues in coordination with customers and other Database Administrators (DBA). Ensure integration of SOW requirements and project plans between major project activities. Document processes and procedures and ensure compliance of organization#%92s database standards, practices and methodologies inclusive of security, hardware, software, and configuration management. Develop processes, documentation and implement solutions to mitigate Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) findings. The nature of the work requires periodic unscheduled (on-call) support outside normal business hours. Carrying a pager and/or cell phone may be required to ensure contact during these periods.

    JOB SKILLS: Must be proficient in both SQL and Oracle (UNIX and Windows) RDBMS with a minimum of 5 years experience in each environment. Experience in each environment can be concurrent. Must have strong communication skills, diplomacy, work effectively within a team and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

    SQL: Requires experience with SQL Server RDMS Proven enterprise level experience with Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system, Windows networking and Windows security. Strong skills with TSQL, NT Shell Scripting and recent experience with SQL Server tuning is a plus.

    Oracle (Windows & UNIX): Requires experience with Oracle RDBMS (8i and 9i) running on Windows and HP-UX/AIX UNIX platforms. Working knowledge of Oracle Backup/Recovery (RMAN), Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Oracle Performance Tuning, SQL and PL/SQL.

    Prefer a B.S degree in computer science, MIS/ IS or equivalent and five years of Database Administration experience.

    Familiarity with SOX is desirable.
