Firewall

    Hi

    Can any one please, tell me that when we configure log shipping do we have to open a firewall from the destination server to the source server too.

    1) On Secondary Server firewall, open port 1433 so that primary server can connect to it.
    2) Make sure File Sharing is enabled on the local area connection between the servers. Also enable file sharing in Firewall.

    If you can connect to secondary server from the primary server with a simple query then no need to open any specific ports on secondary server.
