This is a great forum and I've found a lot of good information. What other places online have you found good information on sql tuning and improving sql server performance?

    Welcome to the forums.
Appreciate your kind words about the website, to be frank this is only site which I have been referring since the year 2001 and now a days there are many sites available for different kinds of information as performance is a big big subject.

Yes, thanks to folks like Satya, this a great resource for friendly advice on performance tuning. SQLServerCentral has a big community with a slightly broader focus,

To add to what has already been said: I am subscribed to plenty of RSS feeds from various SQL Server bloggers and related areas such as Windows OS & .Net.This is a great source of information as long as you follow it with all due suspicion.
These days where everyone seems to be eager to spread his words about how to tune performance, the real art is to separate good content from poor content. And certainly not everyone who is a famous and well-known SQL Server blogger is also a knowledgeable one or even an expert.
At the end of the day you have to build up your own experience anyway and not only by taking someone else's word for granted, but rather by getting your own hands dirty with SQL Server. [:)]

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I'm eager to gain knowledge and this has been helpful. I've been doing my own searching and found what looks like a new site http://sqlserverperformance.net/ . I'll keep you posted if I get any other useful feedback.

Interesting domain name, methinks. Quite annoying that international domains rarely have an impress. Would be curious who is running this site.

Check out okdw [dot] com if you want to see some real rip-offs. Been trying to get them removed from the Google index for a month now...

I incidentally came across this site yesterday while searching for something. Quite audicious.
