Has anyone uninstalled MS SQL server 2008 R2 evaluation version

    more than six months ago, i installed MS SQL server 2008 R2 evalution version into my pc, now it is exprired, so i want to unintall it, and it turned into very tricky. so has anyone experienced it and help out?

    Do you have any other SQL instances install on this machine?
    I did an uninstall of Eval edition on my laptop recently... successfully.

    You have to use the SQL setup in order to perform Edition upgrade, such as upgrade to Developer edition as you cannot downgrade the edition.
