Hi sql-server-performance, i'm working in a project where data are collected and i'm responsible for integrating them(Data import to SQL Server)into a SQL Server 2008 Database. For the moment ,the only sources of data are excel files. I use Winform application that call a C# library that reads those files and call sql stored procs that do the rest(insert,update,..). but now ,we are expecting other types of data dources(CSV,text files,SAP,Oracle,..) what are your suggestions that can help me make a generic tool that can do this job?do you think that passing trough reading data from xml files will be a must(as xml is the standard)? Thanks for advance , Rachid

SSIS should be your favorite tool for many data sources and high performance
