You bet. It will be an interesting day. ----------------------------- Brad M. McGehee, MVP Webmaster SQL-Server-Performance.Com
Sure, it will be interesting. Hopefully peaceful and with a good result for all. (Don't ask, I'm not going to tell) ----------------------- --Frank http://www.insidesql.de -----------------------

I don't want to turn this into a political discussion, but what do you guys around the world think about the US and the election? Do you think we are nuts for spending $1B on campaigning? I just cannot believe the split in the US between the Urban and Suburban vote. I'm glad at least it is finally over.
I think it's ridiculous, and the more I learn about US politics, the more it makes me think how lucky we are over here, even if our Prime Minister is a bit of a ... erm.. what's the word? You know. He's not half as bad as what you've got over there. And as for the process itself.. the mind goes numb! What do you think? Tom Pullen DBA, Oxfam GB
This is not the place for political discussions of any kind. You Americans have voted and therefore decided and the rest of the world has to accept this decision. No matter what we might think of it. No matter if we agree or not. Having that said, with this being to most expensive campaigne ever, one might question if it was worth it or better spent somewhere else. But to me it's only one of many points I question. Anyway, finally it's over now. ----------------------- --Frank http://www.insidesql.de -----------------------
<br />at the end of the day does it really make a difference which candidate got in... they never do what the public seems to want anyway... Switzerland with its referendum decisions is about the only truly democratic nation... <img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-5.gif' alt=';-)' /><br /><br />Twan<br />no not from Switzerland...<br /><br />
Frank, you're right, this isn't the place for politics, but it's good to have some kind of life outside SQL Server every now and then, no? It's healthy to be able to discuss something else!<br /><br />And Twan.. you're right, it doesn't make much difference. And it'd take more than a few referenda to make me move to switzerland!! <img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-5.gif' alt='' /><br /><br />Tom Pullen<br />DBA, Oxfam GB

It's healthy to be able to discuss something else! Sure, it is. It is good and necessary, however, it's evident that this topic will lead to very controverse discussions. And for such discussions there are better places. ----------------------- --Frank http://www.insidesql.de -----------------------
I think that "No one can save world now..." should be reworded to "Everyone can save world now...but no one will" Cheers Twan

We (in my country) know that nothing will change actual relation between contries with winner or looser, but I'm depress about results.<br />Is a crazy world[<img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-6.gif' alt='' />].<br /><br /><br />Luis Martin<br />Moderator<br />SQL-Server-Performance.com<br /><br /><font size="1">All postings are provided “AS IS†with no warranties for accuracy.</font id="size1"><br /><br />
