Host name

    Is AS - 2000 host name dependent? I.E, If I change the hostname - will AS be able to run after?

    i think you will have to go through
    Sp_dropserver and sp_addserver if you change hostname

    All of the SQL server services are dependant on the host name that means on the local server name, in this case you have to follow what Akthar referred.

    Clear SQL Services are name dependent. But not sure, how could we run sp_addserver on a Analysis Server 2000?

    Ok, I just missed this is analysis services and in your case you have to uninstall and reinstall the AS services for the change of hostname.
